Hello! My name is Marcie Adams, and I am super excited about being your child’s homeroom teacher for the upcoming school year!  I have thoroughly enjoyed teaching and learning about the curriculum in 4th grade for the past 4 years, and I look forward to sharing all of the new concepts with your student as well.

This is my TWENTIETH year teaching in both Henrico County and at Echo Lake Elementary School. Before joining the staff here at “The Lake”, I also taught in Virginia Beach, Pensacola, Florida, and La Jolla, California. I recently celebrated my 8th wedding anniversary to a very special man, Mr. Adams!  My daughter, Shannon, graduated from James Madison University in 2019, and is using her journalism degree to make proposals in the marketing department for CDM Smith- an international engineering company. My step-daughter, Meagan Doan, teaches drama at Midlothian High School in Chesterfield County. Her husband, Jimmy is a Youth Minister at Winfree Memorial Baptist Church.

During my time away from the classroom, I enjoy spending time at the ocean – very therapeutic! This summer, however, we stayed closer to home- but we did enjoy golfing (more Mr. Adams - ha ha) and relaxing by the pool as well.
